Sermon Recap

  • Pastor Suzanne interviewed Connie Adams about her experience with chronic pain following a number of complications with surgeries.
  • Connie shared honestly how difficult that season was for her and talked about how Psalm 139 and the bridge to “I Trust the Lord” helped ground her and focus on the character of God in the midst of her pain.
  • She reminded us that (as a gardener) you are never closer to your plants than when you are pruning them. In times of pain, God is near.
  • If you didn’t get a chance to hear Connie’s story, take some time to go back and listen to the sermon (linked above).

Sermon Reflection Questions:

  • What is a time in your life you experienced significant pain (either physical, emotional, or spiritual)?
  • What was the hardest thing about that experience for you?
  • As you look back on that time, how do you think God was present with you? How do you think he grew you closer to him?
